Real Berkshire builds

Eighteen years of work — photographed on the day we packed up.

Every photograph below was taken on a real Philbert Construction site by the foreman who ran it. No stock libraries, no AI renders, no jobs we only "consulted on" — these are extensions, brick walls, driveways, patios, roofs and groundworks that our family team designed, dug, built, dressed and signed off across Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke, Thatcham, Caversham, Pangbourne, Goring, Bucklebury and the surrounding Berkshire villages.

Some are full two-storey side and rear extensions complete with steel insertions and re-roofs. Others are a single repointing job on a Victorian terrace, a circular feature window in a garden wall, or a complete drive-and-front-garden rework with permeable block paving and matching brick piers. The thread that runs through all of them is detail: the joint width on the brickwork, the fall on a patio, the cut on a verge tile, the alignment of a bond on a porch.
